I dabbled with painting in 2014 after doing one with Mallory. I started out mainly with acrylics and tried to paint whenever I had a spare few hours which tended to be few and far between. The following were some of my earlier ones.
Some of my acrylics from later in 2014 and early 2015.
Around 2015 I took a few lessons from Leonid Afremov and switched to Oil Paints and palette knives.
In 2016 I took some more lessons from Kevin Hill.
Unfortuately I haven’t painted since 2016, but I’m hoping to get back at it this year.
I was digging through some old photos, and thought I’d share them for archival purposes, I’d hate to eventually lose them.
My grandfather on my Mother’s side, Grandpa Offless:
Posing next to my Dad’s nova.
Camping when I was youngin, and busted eating Dog biscuits.
My brother and I hanging out at the campground in ’79
My brother, and I, and my Grandpa Morris.
My first Tiger-cat game against Ottawa around 89 or 90.
My brother and I use to play broomball, the kids league only lasted a year or two unfortunately.
In grade school we use to have hobo day, where you got to dress up like a hobo, I was taking a photo with Trevor dressed up for school.
My turn to dress up…
We went out to do a photo shoot for our annual xmas cards.
I started mountain biking in 2012 to get in shape and get out in nature. I stick to the easy/intermediate trails and never do anything to insane as I’m not much of a risk taker by nature 🙂 Here’s a few photos from Bear Mountain. I don’t get out as much as I’d like mainly because while I love going down, going up sucks when your out of shape.
We make it a habit to try to goto VanDusen every year at Xmas.
My grand parents would drive acrossed the country and camp in Mission for a month and visit with us. My mother was down visiting, and she brought Nyla, so we took the opportunity to get a photo of Mallory and Nyla together with their grand parents.
I was digging through some ticket stubs I archived, and thought I would share with for archival purposes.

I didn’t meet the grandfather on my mother’s side until I was 13, by this point unknown to any of us he was dieing of cancer. He remarried like 20 years prior, but everyone fell out of touch, he linked back up and we visited in a few times. His grandson on his new wife’s side was a hotshot hockey player in Junior B hockey, and so they got a few things signed, and sent off to me. He later played Junior A, and spent 18 years in the NHL. A had a few things of his, here’s a couple below.
